1860’s Leclanche Porous Pot Battery Jar
$115.00
A very rare and early wet cell battery patented by Georges Leclanche. This particular example is a ‘porous pot cell’ battery which was the original patent design after which were subsequent adoptions. This porous pot battery dates specifically to the 1860’s because of the porous manganese dioxide cell that was used upon its creation. This battery is missing the zinc rod.
